On the eve of EBACE 2007, Dassault announced the 2000LX, a modification of the 2000EX EASy equipped with winglets. Entry into service came in March 2008, replacing the Falcon 2000, and production completed after just four units. EASA certification was awarded on 19 September and FAA on 3 October, 2007. It made its first flight on 19 June, 2007 and that aircraft was the first delivery on 17 September later that year. In 2007 came the Falcon 2000DX, announced on 8 November, 2005 and equipped with the same PW308C turbofans and EASy cockpit but with a shorter range of 3,250 nm. Steep approach trials were completed at London City airport on 18 March, 2010. It first flew on 29 January, 2003 and received FAA and EASA certification on 22 June, 2004. It also underwent changes to the pressurisation and oxygen systems. The Falcon 2000EX EASy is an upgraded 2000 with longer range and advanced EASy avionics in the cockpit. Its climb rate was increased by about 600 ft per minute, MTOW went up to 42,200, and its fuel capacity was increased by 3,800 lbs.Įarly Falcon 2000EXs retained the Collins Aerospace Pro Line 4 avionics suite, but those delivered from 2004 were equipped with the Dassault EASy flight deck. The first three ‘green’ production airframes were delivered to the Little Rock, Arkansas completion centre in January 2003, with the first customer deliveries of outfitted aircraftĭassault replaced the CFE engines of the Falcon 2000 with more powerful, FADEC-equipped Pratt & Whitney Canada PW308C turbofans, giving the 2000EX an increase of nearly 1,000 nm. Two aircraft completed 568 hours of flight testing in 242 flights, culminating in JAA and FAA certification on 21 March, 2003. It was announced at NBAA on 10 October, 2000, a prototype was rolled out on 19 July, 2001 and it made its maiden flight on 25 October, 2001. Development of the 2000EX, an upgraded variant of Dassault’s Falcon 2000, began in October 1999.
